INDUSTRIAL LIAISON OFFICE (ILO)
At Sot Technical training Institute, the Industrial Liaison Office (ILO) serves as a vital bridge between our students and the industry. Our mission is to facilitate productive partnerships that enhance the academic and professional experiences of our students, while also addressing the evolving needs of the industry.
Our Role:
- Facilitating Industrial Attachments
- Coordinating with various industries to secure attachment opportunities for students.
- Ensuring that students are placed in environments that provide relevant and meaningful work experience.
- Preparing insurance for students proceeding for attachment to ensure their safety and well-being during their industrial experience.
- Assessment and Monitoring:
- Organizing the assessment of students during their industrial attachment by assigning lecturers to conduct site visits.
- Monitoring the progress of students and providing necessary support to address any challenges they may face.
- Industry Collaboration:
- Developing and nurturing partnerships with industry stakeholders to create a network of potential employers and mentors for our students.
- Negotiating and signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with industry partners to formalize collaborations and ensure mutual benefits.
- Organizing workshops, seminars, and career fairs to facilitate direct interaction between students and industry professionals.
- Feedback and Improvement:
- Gathering feedback from both students and industry partners to continually improve the quality and relevance of our industrial attachment program.
- Implementing changes and enhancements based on the feedback to better prepare students for the workforce.
