The fashion design department offers courses in artisan, craft and diploma levels. The fashion design field directly addresses various human needs and therefore, there is an ever-increasing demand for skilled and knowledgeable workforce to satisfy these needs. The section boasts of very dedicated staff that works with modern facilities to produce the skilled graduates in the fashion Design industry in Kenya. The section has also formed linkages with various Industry players to help enhance the training skills and offer exposure to students. The Department runs a textile production unit that serves as the institute production facility. This makes the section both academic and industrial which is essential for students going through the programme.
